Professionals with a legal, policy or industry interest in the Canadian wine industry are welcome to join AIDV Canada.
Annual AIDV Canada membership dues are $225 plus GST.
Student AIDV Canada membership dues are $20 plus GST.
Membership in AIDV International is included. The Canadian membership dues include €125 that we remit to AIDV International (waived for student memberships).
We are pleased to offer a student discount. Only available via the non-automatic renewal option. You must renew each year manually. Please contact us if you need further information.
Benefits of Membership:
- An annual Canadian Chapter Conference is the centrepiece of our activities. The 2024 conference brings together industry, government and legal advisors across the Canadian wine landscape to share information and discuss legal, policy and business topics of common interest. The agenda and speakers reflect the national coverage of the Canadian Chapter and the broad scope of current legal issues facing the wine industry in Canada.
- Throughout the year, webinars on select topics and informal email exchange among members keeps practitioners informed and up-to-date on relevant issues, including provincial and federal regulatory change, new case law, developments in trademark and appellations (geographic indications), and referrals or crowd-sourcing answers to technical questions.
- Membership in AIDV Canada automatically includes membership in AIDV International, which opens connections to peers representing legal and policy expertise in the wine regions of North America, Europe, Latin America and Australasia.
- The AIDV International annual conference is typically held in October on wine law and policy topics of interest at the international level. The 2024 Conference will be held late October (details to follow). Members of all Chapters are welcome.
